Event description: Graduate students of the DSHCS seminar Tracing Identity: Material and Context will present their ongoing doctoral research considering materiality and contexts of their sources. The focus of the colloquium is the interaction between archaeological, visual and philological evidence, the material conditions (historical situation, losses, representativeness, etc.) and the embedding of the individual pieces of information in their proper context. The event will consist of four sessions, with 25-minute papers, each followed by 20 minutes of discussion.
